Crazy emotional posts are coming these next few weeks, my friends, and I am over-the-moon excited to share it all with you!!

The last three weeks leading up to Benjamin’s birthday were pretty darn rough! All the false alarms ( seven to be exact…but whose counting 😉 ) and the nasty flu bug that hit our home HARD. I mean tears upon tears, fears of the unknown, just hard! But we prayed, and we waited, & we rejoiced knowing that a healthy little person was going to be joining us any day! And God provided us with the most beautiful kind of birth we had been anticipating for so long!

My water broke an hour and a half after our sweet Charlotte had gone to bed! living so close to the hospital, we slowly packed our things into the car with all nerves and adrenalin in the world! Around 11:30pm we settled in just waiting! Charlotte snug as a bug on the floor with blanks and pillows sleeping, and no pain for momma what-so-ever!

 2:30am our sweet parents came to pick Char up and say a quick hello. I think all the nerves from having Charlotte in the room vanished once she left, and then the labor began! At 5:00am I was all set to get my epidural! Y’all, I am the worst when it comes to pain so I was so surprised I had basically slept up until this point with very little medication! My epidural actually didn’t work, but that was okay because 4 pushes and he was here!!!!! Tears tears tears!!! At 5:55am our little man was FINALLY here!!!

He’s perfect! He’s safe! He’s home!

We are slowly adjusting to life with 2 children, but holy moly friends I never thought my heart could love so much!! How good is our God?!? SOOOO GOOD!!!
