WHAT A YEAR!!!!

I think it’s safe to say that we learned A TON!! We learned how to appreciate nap times, because they are becoming a very rare thing these days! We learned that laughter really is a medicine that can cure all the things ( especially during arguments 😉 ) And we are learning that protecting OUR time is literally the number one most important thing in a marriage, family, and business!!

So here it is, friends!! Our 2017 FAMILY highlights!!! This is our way of thanking God for all He has done through us this year, and realizing just how far we’ve come from where we started last year!! We are running a business, growing a child, and raising a toddler ALL AT THE SAME TIME!! Thank you Jesus for His grace, because that is how we got here!! What a blessing!!

1. FINDING OUT WE WERE HAVING OUR 2ND BABY!!!

This has been one of the most fun and exciting things we have had the privilege of sharing with all of you!! Charlotte gets to be a big sister and our little family is going to be a family of 4 in just a few short weeks!!! We are finally getting his nursery together, his car seat is in the car ( WHAT?!?! ) and our hospital bags are being prepped as we speak!!

We seriously cannot wait to meet our little Benjamin!!

2.    CHARLOTTE TURNED 2

Growing a little person is amazing, but in my opinion raising them to be kind and loving people is even better!!! Our sassy, free-spirited, crazy girl is now 2 and a half!!! This year has been one for the books!! Watching her grow and learn and become her own little self is one of the biggest blessings we have ever experienced!! How she is two already is beyond me, but holy moly friends am I ever so thankful that WE get to be her parents who continue to love her and speak truth to her every. single. day!!

3. WE WERE PUBLISHED!!!

Last year, we set a business goal that I thought was way to high of a reach! Being a published photographer was a dream from day one!! Having one of our brides and grooms special day chosen would be a HUGE honor, and it HAPPENED!!!! TommiAnn and her adorable husband, Chris were published on Borrowed & Blue on September 15, 2017 and when we got that email…happy dancing was just the beginning of a HUGE celebration!!!

4. OUR NEW HOME

Never did we expect to move and own three homes within three years!! God is SO SO good and He always provides, but this was a total shocker!! Finding our new home just 4 months before our due date, moving in and completely renovating was not in our plans, but it was in His!! So here we are in a dream home snuggled by the fire still completely shocked that this is where we are at and this is where we will grow even more!!

5. OUR TRIP TO CANADA

For my birthday last year, we decided to go to Toronto in the middle of January with our then 1 and a half year old!! IT WAS PERFECT!!! Traveling as a family of three, on our own gave us confidence that our lives do not have to be “over” when our babies come into the picture!! Traveling with Charlotte and now getting to travel soon with Benjamin is literally the best thing in the whole world!!

6. LINDSEY & TREVOR’S SURPRISE PROPOSAL

I am the WORST secret keeper!! Ask Trav, I just can’t help but spill the beans two months early for all of his Christmas presents!! BUT this secret I kept for months!!!! We travelled to and from Tennessee 3 times that weekend to help my soon-to-be brother in law propose to my sweet sister…and it was PERFECT!!! Their wedding is in just a few short months and I am busting at the seams to stand beside them and cheer them on in this new season!!

7. 35 WEDDING DAYS IN 2 YEARS

Yesterday we shot our 35th wedding!!! These past 2 years of growing our little business has been full of joy and a ton of hard work!! But each of our sweet couples has been completely worth it ALL!!! So as we say goodbye to year #2 and 2017, we are just so thankful that this is what we get to do!!!
